外国人开发的电磁时域有限差分方法工具包 Electromagnetic Finite-Difference Time-Domain (EmFDTD) is a basic two-dimensional FDTD code developed at the School of Electrical Engineering, Sharif University of Technology. This code has been written based on the standard Yee s FDTD algorithm. Applications include propagation, scattering, and diffraction of electromagnetic waves in homogeneous and non-homogeneous isotropic media for in-plane propagating waves. Negative permittivites or permeabilities as well as dispersion is not included. Zero, Periodic, and Perfectly Matched Layer boundary conditions may be selectively applied to the solution domain. The program is best suited for study of propagation and diffraction of electromagnetic waves in Photonic Crystal structures. EmFDTD is written in MATLAB language and has been tested under MATLAB 5.0 and higher versions.

Monostatic Radar Cross Section The goal is to plot the monostatic radar cross section (RCS) as a function of angle for a scattering object, as shown in the figure below. The scattering object is a so-called corner reflector: three sheets of metal connected at right angles to each other. A corner reflector is often used as a calibration object in radar experiments. It has the advantage of a large RCS over a wide angular range. In the example project, symmetry has been exploited with respect to the XZ plane.

A novel model is proposed to analyze the scattering of antenna which gives the structural mode RCS and antenna mode RCS eparately. The phase difference between the two modes, which is difficult to simulate, is solved with the model. The scattering of antenna with arbitrary load is obtained conveniently from the model results. The model is realized by the ANSOFT HFSS and some useful results are illustrated. The structural mode RCS and antenna mode RCS are compared with the results by other methods, which proves the model correct and efficient. The results are meaningful for the antenna RCS prediction and reduction.
