In order to solve the job shop scheduling problem considering the total production cost, the process cost, inventory management cost and delay penalty are introduced. This job shop scheduling problem is studied, and an improved genetic algorithm is proposed to solve this problem. The improved genetic algorithm is discussed. Encoding, initialization, selection, crossover and mutation operation, the convergence speed of the algorithm is verified through simulation comparison with the basic genetic algorithm.
