【Industry research】 ICUFN-Receiver-Power-and-SNR-optimization-for-Vis DL : 0: The performance of a visible light communication system is greatly affected by LED layout setting. Received power and SNR can be increased or decreased by changing LED placement. However, there is trade-off between received power and SNR. This makes it impossible to design a VLC system that maximizes both received power and SNR simultaneously. In this paper, we find the Pareto-optimal LED layout settings, as well as the performances according to these setting using the SPEA2 multi-objective optimization algorithm. Based on the result of the multi-objective optimization process, one can design a VLC system with optimized performance.

The receiver captures the state of the LEDs by using an image sensor and restores the information by image processing. In the parallel transmissions, since interference between LEDs causes performance degradation, we introduce an LDPC code to mitigate the influence of interference.

【Industry research】 VLC-using-OFDM DL : 0: 将OFDM技术运用在可见光通信的研究，并且把OFDM的高峰均比这一缺点进行了建设性的运用。-In particular, the use of OFDM (orthogonal frequency division multiplexing) for intensity modulation is investigated. The high peak-to-average ratio (PAR) in OFDM is usually considered a disadvantage in radio frequency transmission systems due to non-linearities of the power amplifier. It is demonstrated theoretically and by means of an experimental system that the high PAR in OFDM can be exploited constructively in visible light communication to intensity modulate LEDs. It is shown that the theoretical and the experimental results match very closely, and that it is possible to cover a distance of up to one meter using a single LED.
